Humor, unique instrumentations, and the blending of genres are common among his original works. He has arranged many tunes for pep band. Recordings of some of his original compositions can be found on his YouTube channel.
Creating written music is something he has had an interest in ever since his first experience with arranging back in high school. At the time, the song "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore was very popular on the radio and he decided to arrange it his my high school's pep band. He set to work with his saxophone, a pencil, a stack of staff paper, and his iPod on repeat transcribing melodies and rhythms until finally he had a completed project! It was a big moment in his musical journey to hear the Union High School pep band premier his arrangement of this song! That moment led him down a path that brings him happiness and enjoyment to this day.

From working with a 5-12 band program to directing a university pep band to teaching private bassoon lessons to an elderly gentleman who could no longer hold his baritone saxophone.
